Introduction & Hypothesis
The purpose of this lab was to show how gravity acts on a thrown object vertically and horizonatially. The object is pulled downward by gravity, as it travels through the air. In projectile motion the object is always accelerating when its dropped from the air. We calculated the range of the cork. It moves and fall at the same time. Our hypothesis was the further you pulled the spoon back the faster and further the cork traveled.
Materials & Procedure
List of Materials:
- Rubber bands (3)
- Wooden skewers (1)
- Plastic spoon (1)
- Tape (0.5m)
- Popsicle sticks (15).
First we measured the angle of how far the spoon with a protractor. The protractor was directly on side of the catapult before we lauched it.

We hit the target the second try, our cork made it directly in the bowl.
Analysis
Our hypothesis was right, because the more we pulled the spoon back the further it went back. The data above shows the results. If given another chance i would change change the design of our catapult because it would go in opposite direction than expected. My partner & I learned how projectile motion works, and the meaning of it. Which is the object that moving through the air and is only affected by the force of gravity.

Newton’s First Law 
This photo is showing that an object in motion stays in motion unless an exteral force is used. The board stopped because the rock stopped it, but the person on the board was still in motion.
Newton’s Second Law
In this photo acceleration happens when force acts on mass. The heavier the object is the more force it will need to be moved.
Newton’s Third Law
This photo represent the 3rd law because the 3rd law means the size of the force on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. The first ball will hit the second ball with a force and the second ball will hit the third ball with the same force and so on.

The coldest Winter ever
The part that I’m reading Winter dad gets arrested by officers and they search through the whole house tearing and cutting everything. The line, “They searched through all of your belongings. They cut up my damn mattress.” Stood out to me because it made me wonder why the police did all of that. I think that her dad is some kind of big dealer or something and that the police searched their house that way because they think Winter dad has drugs hidden in the house.

What is the purpose of this experiment?
During this lab we were trying to figure out how many rubber bands it would take to bungee jump an object from a certain distance. Its an important experiment because people actually bungee jump as a hobby and they would find our lab interesting and also very helpful with real life bungee jumping. How much the rubber bands stretched and the distance of the object dropping was apart of the science used, as well with the mass. The heavier the object was, the less rubber bands were needed. We were expecting to find the number of rubber bands it took to bungee jump the object from the top floor so that the object could almost touch the ground. We found that if the object was heavy, then a less amount of rubber bands were needed because the mass of the object is greater causing it stretch the rubber bands farther.
Materials:
- Measuring tape: used to measure the length of rubber bands that were dropped
- Rubber bands: Bungee string
- Cube: used to apply weight so that the rubber bands can actually stretch.
Results:
When we dropped our cube from the second floor it almost touch the ground, which was a successful result. We used less rubber bands than other groups because our cube was heavier than others.
The “I Believe” Speech
I believe in happiness. I believe that it’s the little things in life that count. That one day ill get a call from my grandma saying her cancer is cured. I believe in hero’s. In fairy tales. Look at the nation that’s a crooked smile braces couldn’t even straighten.
In this line I agree with J.Cole because he’s addressing that America can’t be changed. America has so many defects as a society that nothing can fix it. Some problems are like violence, discrimination, and racism. It’s grown so much over the years that we can’t even accept when people are different from us even if we are from the same place. In my opinion people has gotten use to doing these things and they don’t even realize they’re doing them. It’s becoming a daily routine to people’s lives.
